    廣泛采用電液位計,應用在江河、琥珀、水庫、渠道、水電站等工程中。特點常用的水位計有四種:玻璃管式,平板式、雙色水位計和低地位水位計。玻璃管式水位計玻璃管式水位計,公稱壓力一般不超過1.6MPa,公稱直徑有DN15和DN20兩種,玻璃管內徑不應小于8mm,厚度不小于3mm。玻璃管式水位計主要由汽旋塞,水旋塞,玻璃管、排污旋塞和連接法蘭等組成。鍋爐內的水位高低和變化,透過玻璃管顯示出來。玻璃管的中心線要與水位計汽、水旋塞的中心線同心,以防止玻璃管受扭曲應力而破裂。為了防止玻璃管爆破傷人,在帶有鋼球的水位計內,在旋塞內配有彈子,汽、水爆破的沖力使彈子自動關閉汽、水旋塞。同時還應安裝防護罩。防護罩一般用較厚的耐溫的鋼化玻璃板制成。
